Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico, was born to a music-loving family. The music she grew up with was classical, old boleros and the traditional ranchero, romantic, and romance ballads. Ana is enthusiastic about the operas and tangos. She also loves dramatic performances. Ana began learning to sing and play instruments at an early age with her mother. She received more formal training in singing when she was 16 years old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. It was at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In Guadalajara in addition to Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. She sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She sings as a soloist Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. She's involved in numerous local organizations, both as an educator and performer because of her love for music and arts. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to have the opportunity communicate with other people her love of traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will inspire younger generations to help keep the traditions living.
